Red Cross Assistance Center

An American Red Cross mobile unit will relocate to the Evans Community Complex at 1100 37th St. beginning Sunday, September 22, 2013, and will be open from 8am to 6pm, daily, until further notice.

Residents needing services should use the St. Vrain entrance off of 37th St. to access the mobile unit, which will provide cleanup kits, water, toiletries, and blankets.

Area residents wanting to talk with a local Red Cross volunteer should contact 1-888-635-6381.

Weld County Department of Human Services in Milliken

Weld County Department of Human Services (DHS) employees will be in Milliken September 23, 2013, at 1101 Broad Street, from 3:30pm. to 8:00pm to provide and accept emergency assistance applications for those directly impacted by the flood.

Those applications will be for services including but not limited to:
1. Rental assistance
2. Insurance deductibles
3. Clothing assistance
4. Vehicle repairs

In addition, they can accept applications for other forms of assistance which includes, but is not limited to:
1. Food assistance
2. Medicaid.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, DHS employees will return to 1101 Broad St., in Milliken from 8:00am to 4:30pm to make available and accept D-SNAP (Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) applications in addition to applications for the services listed above.
